Laminated wood near patio door

Hi
We did a walk through for our new build. The whole row of laminated wood along the sliding doors was really bouncy. The project manager had the flooring people come and redo it. It's still bouncing the same (please excuse my foot in the pics - 1st pic is no pressure, 2nd pic is with pressure). I wish I could upload the video. Now the floor guys say they have to leave it like that otherwise it will buckle.
Is this true? So if it's supposed to be like this then why did they take it apart?

There shouldn't be any movement. Something is wrong with the structure of the subfloor underneath. It sounds like the leveling didn't happen. They probably just took out a few planks and then reinstalled some others to see if it will go away.

I would have them fix it now - before the 1 year warranty on their work expires. It won't get any better with age. It will definitely get worse.

Doesn't matter, even if you posted no pictures, Cancork is spot on. They didn't fix anything, the flooring needs to come up and the subfloor leveled. Bounce in a small area like that means the flooring is not in contact with the subfloor and there is only one way to fix it.

Is it that interlocking flooring? If it is, I've read many complaints about the flooring having a bouncy feeling.

What is an interlocking flooring? Doesn't matter what type it is, if it is only boundy in that spot it is not making contact with the subfloor correctly. IE: Not installed properly..........

So per our project manager the laminate needs to be able to flex near the expansive sliding door. If there's no room for it to flex then the floor will buckle. Is this true or is a load of crap?
This is the only are of the house that has this issue.

Sorry but laminate does not need to "flex". That's a whole bunch of smoke that is being blown around so that you don't ask for more work.

Rigid flooring should NEVER flex. Ever. Expand = yes. Flex = never.

That's right! I wish I knew how to load a photo! We are redoing our showroom, they are laying laminate flooring right by my desk, several different colors, etc. and trust me NO BOUNCE!!!! Cancork Floor is right on,

We have laminate in our kitchen and laundry room.....The installer made a space all around the perimeter of the rooms for the laminate floor to expand. He put quarter round to cover the space. I am not positive about your floor in front of the sliding glass doors.....space should have been left so that the floor can expand....but the "flexing" part I do not understand....did he mean expand instead of flex?.....is there room for the floor to expand there? I am not sure the installer could put something there to cover the space, unless it would be a flat piece of flooring. Probably should have put something under the flooring and maybe over the expansion space to make it firm. I would think if your floor flexes enough, it would crack....I would pursue it farther, I think.
