Tile for bathroom wall

I’m working on my daughters’ bathroom, and I’m looking for tiles. I want something fun, but also bright since it’s a small bathroon. I fell in love with this tile but I’m concerned that the grout will be too nuch work. We will have a bathtub, not a shower, and would only use this tile on the walls of the bathtub space.

Should I avoid herringbone on bathroom walls or is it ok since it’s not a shower floor?

Adding the bathroom layout for dimensions references, as well as the herringbone tile I like (although in this pics you can’5 really appreciate the green veins)

Thanks!

There are thousands of tiles to love. Find another unless you love grout. : ) and wall scrubbing

I like herringbone /chevrons, and they're a classic -- but, no, don't put them on the wall AND the floor. Too much of a good thing, you know.

Personally, I'd put them on the wall. It's a labor-intensive tile, so it will be a bit expensive. Put it where it'll show. Consider, too, that you're going to lay down floor mats -- why cover your lovely tile?

Instead, go with fairly large-scale flooring. Something simple that'll be "background".

    Now, thinking about the layout:

    - Get the toilet out of the closet. It's only 36" wide, and that's narrow -- even for a small person like me. It's going to be dark and uncomfortable. Finally, you won't be able to close the door once a person is in the closet -- the person's body will block the door's swing.

    - Downsize to a single sink. Duplicates of of questionable use anywhere, but especially when it's for a single child. Duplicate sinks will take up all her storage space. Instead, give her a single sink and a good bank of drawers, which she will appreciate.

    - Be sure she has electrical outlets on the side with the drawers.

    - Think about where she'll hang hand towels near the sink.

    - The shower is relatively narrow compared to its 6' length. With little storage in the bathroom, I'd cut off a foot and give her a stack of shelves at the end of the shower -- I'd leave the bottom half open for a hamper, which would give her 3-4 shelves /space for square baskets. It'd be great storage.

    - You have space for shower towels by the door, which is a positive.

Thabks @Theresa Peterson for your comments. The floor picture is just to better show the size of the herringbone.

As I mentioned, the plan is to only use this tile on the walls. For the floor Im thinking about a neutral slab, with mo design nor additional colors

My concern though was the amount of grout of the herringbone, since the walls around the tub is a considerable space and a wt one

I just saw my gandsons’ new bathroom and because it‘s small + they wanted to avoid lots of grout, they used a larger tile similar to below on bath’s walls and on the floor. For the fun factor, you could use a colored vanity and even wallpaper.
