Half Bathroom Decor

Hi,

I need ideas and inspiration for my guest/half bathroom using what's existing. I'm not looking to repaint or remodel basically just to decorate. Ideas/pictures would be appreciated.

Thanks!

odd place for that shelf. agree about some nice artwork.

too bad you don't want to do anything. some wainscot, like this pic, would really do wonders for your room. Do everything that you see in this pic, since your bathroom layout is almost identical to this one. You have high ceilings,,,great for doing a dark color. you sure you don't want to paint or do some molding work???

If you want towels, I'd do them like this:

or,

Also, I'd remove that huge trashcan and find a small one for the corner on the side of the vanity

I would remove the shelf and look for a great piece of art for that wall. All white towels and rug to let the art shine.

I agree with removing the large shelf and replacing it with artwork. I would then remove the towel bar and replace it with a few floating shelves for guest towels and essentials. Put a single towel ring on the left side of the sink. A larger rectangular mirror would also look better. Add white towels and a cuter trash can.

Thanks for the feedback. We just purchased the house and the budget is focused on other more used rooms so that's why I'm not looking to paint or remodel.

I'm definitely going to find a smaller trash can and remove the shelf that's on the right, I wasn't sure what to do with it, and replace it with some artwork. I like the idea of floating shelves over the toilet. What color and how many should I go with ? Also there is not bathtub in that room just a sink and a toilet, so I don't think I'm going to add any bath towels just hand towels.

You could use either 2 or 3 shelves whatever you like. Hang them so whatever objects on the top shelf sit no higher than your light fixture over your vanity.

you could do some that matched the vanity. or natural wood. maybe even glass? look at the examples to see how to stage them. white is too bright. get a nice picture to put on that large wall and it should be done!

Before you remove the towel bar or shelf, be sure there's touch up paint around to cover the holes that will be left.
