Design Dilemma DIY Fireplaces

Gel stain on sheet metal

Has anyone ever used Minwax Gel Stain on sheet metal? I'd like to do a cool fireplace surround from sheet metal but don't want the shiny silver look but rather a dark brown/dark gray color. Or is there a better way to create this look? I would love any suggestions you may have!! Thanks!

Just had a shed built with metal. Metal cut to spec and purchased from metal roof company and they had several colors to choose from. Call someone in your area and go talk to them. You never know until you ask.
