Do not waste money by putting expensive cabinets on top of thermofoil cabinets with a terrible layout. Do nothing until you can solve the real issues here.

I'd get replacement wood cabinets and make a new island. (paint them the same color as others) if budget is an issue, then hold off until you save enough to do it. It will give you more room if you replace it.

get a couple of 24" or 30" base cabinets and fabricate to accept a top. you will have to do some finishing and trim work around the back and sides.

there is no way to cover this monstrosity and have it look good. Don't waste the money cutting the Thunder White granite to put atop this thing.

i don't mind your black appliances. Don't know if it's worth the cost and hassle to replace them. I really don't think the return on them will be worth it. I would change out your knobs to a brushed nickel and paint out the yellow walls.

no gray-gray! Try Pale Oak or one of these,,,,they will go w/the oak flooring better.
