Wait until the pod fully ripens. You will need to enclose the pods in a mesh bag or wrap a twist tie or rubber band around them, to prevent the seeds from scattering everywhere when the pods split.

Sow seeds immediately in an already watered (damp) well draining medium, like coconut coir (not husk) mixed with perlite and 1/8 inch orchid bark. Do NOT cover the seeds with any medium...just sow directly on top of the medium.

Place seeds on a heat mat, or in an area that stays consistently warm. To preserve humidity, cover the pot or container with a clear plastic lid or clear plastic wrap. Air out for a few hours every 3 days.

Do NOT water unless the medium completely dries out. Instead, mist lightly once, every three days. In a few days' time, you should start to see seedlings growing.

Once seedlings have 3-4 sets of true leaves (not counting the first set of leaves; those are cotelydons and act similar to a yolk sac on a baby chicken, providing nourishment while the seedling roots), you can transplant them into small pots in whatever medium of choice you prefer for your adult plants.

With Hoya australis seedlings, depending upon the subspecies, you should not water too frequently, which can cause damping off and/or root rot.

I lost most of mine to damping off, they can be very touchy when small. Those that survived are very slow growing. For getting more plants cuttings are a faster way to go, but for having a good challenge it's seedlings.
