I thought Trovita was spring ripening? So is this even a Trovita? Also my nearly ripe fruits are falling off. We ate them anyway, and they are yummy, but I'd like for them to get fully ripe. I've had the tree about three years and this is the first year with actual fruit. I'm in central NC and moved the tree indoors about a week ago. Two fell while it was still outside and one has fallen since. I guess I should have thinned the fruit out as it appeared. Reading around this forum, I have way to many for the first year of fruit. My only other citrus is a meyer lemon, and it has always produced well and pretty much taken care of itself.

Any ideas why the Trovita (if it is a trovita) is ripening now? How can I help the fruit stay on the tree until it is nice and orange? Thank you for any advice!
