These cabinets are knotty alder wood with a dark walnut stain and a custom matched white tinted lacquer with a vandyke brown glaze.

I am getting knotty alder cabinets and I really like the white on the cabinets. I've asked at sherwin Williams about the white tinted lacquer and vandyke brown glaze. They didn't much know about a tinted lacquer. Where did you get it? Is it water based or oil based? And what was the exact process of applying lacquer and glaze to get this look? Thanks so much! I would really like to recreate this look!!

I would recommend having a professional do the finishing on your cabinetry. To achieve this finish it requires a paint booth and professional spray equipment. We get our white tinted lacquer from Sherwin Williams. Depending on what state you are in there are different eco requirements and some products may not be available. I would look into hiring someone local who does cabinet refinishing to achieve this look.
