How about glass subway tile in light blue color?

i have brick paneling im going to put up as my backsplash and a friend is going to paint it so its tan, brown, blacks, and looks white washed its really neat looking.

Try changing out your bulbs to see if the cabinets looks less yellow. No to the accent wall.

Incandescent bulbs will enhance yellow tones, florescent are cooler and more blue, halogen are are the most like natural light.

I'd stay away from blues. I think it will pull out any yellow tones in the cabinets. Teal should be okay, but a green like sage would go well too. I wouldn't do an accent wall, they're not very in style these days and they can make decorating a pain.

To make yellow look less yellow, you need more yellow somewhere. You need to out-yellow the yellow. Blue would only make it look more yellow. That said, lighting could also help.

My counter top is between dark and light... its granite with a blend of whites, tans, greys, blacks, and browns. it would go well with any color really.

I would pick one color for the walls and skip the accent wall.
