Draw the room and measure all solid walls and openings. That means windows, the counter top too..

The reupholstered banquette is a good anchor. From this angle, I'd try a round wood pedestal table rather than glass: the wood would warm up the gray upholstery and walls, and a pedestal usually makes it easier to slide in and out of a corner banquette. I would not order it from the photo alone, though. Tape out the table diameter and pull a chair up to it; check the route past the chairs to the adjoining room.

For the wall, I'd lean toward a low sideboard with one piece of art above it instead of a tall hutch, which could make this corner feel crowded. That also lets the chandelier and windows remain the focus. If you replace the chandelier, decide on the table size and center first so the fixture can hang over the table rather than simply over the room. Could you share the wall lengths and the clearance to the adjacent passage? Those will settle the table and sideboard sizes.

Painting the fireplace will brighten up that corner…and removing the pictures to a spot on the wall between the L-shape couch and the kitchen..a nice spot for them to be enjoyed and viewed

I’m not crazy about how the sofa divides the room up, but realize that with the tv placement it’s probably the only way to have the sofa.

Without measurements and just going off the photo, if there is room you might consider a narrow console table so you’re not seeing the big expanse of the sofa back.
