laminate flooring installed next to large slider

I’m looking for some input from flooring experts. My new house has been recently completed and I noticed that the laminate floor next to our large (~15 ft) slider sinks down approximately 1/8 inch. The person that installed the flooring mentioned that we should wait until the floors adjust and stabilize in temperature before doing an assessment. He mentioned that this is common for the area next to the slider. Prior to this, he leveled the subfloor with self leveling concrete. The floor is under warranty and the installer can lock the floor for us in the spot but he is worried about buckling. Would like to get everyone’s input if this is normal.

If it's not level now and is in contact with the subfloor, it isn't going to get better on its own. It sounds like it needs to be removed, floated and reinstalled. Hopefully the floor runs parallel to the sliding glass door track. Assuming it's floating floor, there should be a piece of overlap trim at the edge. This trim should lap over the floor and be adhered to the subfloor, allowing the floor to float, expand and contract without issues.

Sounds like either a low spot at the slider, or a high spot close-by. That's my opinion from this chair. Maybe he can shim it up with strips of #30 felt/other providing the floor can be lifted without creating problems, but it probably has some sort of molding there now?

Common? It should simply lay flat without any spongy areas.
