Dear Wendy,

The dresser is 63 inches long and the extension is 65 inches long. Keep in mind that the extension goes on top of the dresser and you can move it in to make it shorter or out to make it longer. You can use the extension as a desk and use a standard chair. Also be aware that the extension is sold separately.
