Hello Rima, thank you for your question! The ability to dim has more to do with the bulb and dimmer you use. This fixture uses a standard medium base socket. All incandescent bulbs are dimmable, if you are using fluorescent or LED bulbs you will need to check the packaging to make sure it is dimmable and if you need to use a special dimmer for them.
