I brought my trees in first week of October, one of my trees ( lemon-orange tree) has lost more than 2/3 of it's foliage, had to cut 3-4 of it's small branches all the way to the trunk due to branch die back. It was stressed from the wind and fell over couple of times over the summer:( Now it has only 4-5 leaves on the very end of its branches. The rest of the trees only lost 2-3 leaves each. My trees are in my sunroom, the outside light is all they get, don't have supplemental light on them.

Sunshine if they loose all the leafs keep them as cool as possible? Better would be to give some extra light. How did your trees last winter?

Esmeralda how much light do you give? what kind of light? Leaf drop is most of the time because insufficient lights.

My trees lost some leaves but in such small amount that it is hardly noticeable. But only three weeks in. Maybe the big leaf drop is still to come.

I will not keep them cool, Susanne, I have other tropical plants there, just regular room temps. Last year they did not have leaf drop.

Sunshine is it possible to give some extra light?

I think the southwest window is bright and the room has overhead lights, but I guess on cloudy days that is not enough.
