I don't, but there are several folks on the perennials forum who do, and I think there's a current thread on one of the Corydalis.

There is a thread, but it is on a different Corydalis species. I found a thread from much earlier on the new blue flexuosa Corydalises and the experience seems to be overall negative, but Andrew Keys specifically recommends 'Blue Panda' in his book Growing the Northeast Garden. Because of that, I wondered if it really did do better in New England than in other places.

Not at all a long lived plant, IME. We can grow pretty much anything here in the PNW with its nearly idyllic climate but virtually any of the blue corydalis peter out after a couple of years.

Have not yet tried 'Blue Heron', which is supposed to be a newer and vastly superior form.

I found two threads that dealt specifically with blue Corydalis. I think both at least mention CBP.

Locally blue corydalis cultivars were featured at independent outlets for awhile but not so much it seems in later years. These plants are cool-worts, needing markedly cool and moist situations.

With the cultivar name 'Blue Heron' not surprisingly this is a Dan Hinkley plant.

Performance over a wide range of climates is not yet known. An absolute gem for the moist woodland garden.

Thanks for the links, NHBabs. I think 'Blue Panda' is off the list. It was the first Corydalis I'd ever heard about, and the recent thread you mentioned was the first time I realized there were so many species! I like th fine leaf structure and think both the leaves and blue flowers would be a great shade addition, if blue is possible. It looks like I need to do more homework. And...that will have to come later, when the Winter Rest phase of gardening begins!

And, of course, like a mentally ill person I stay at the computer and keep looking for stuff...And find this Corydalis:

Corydalis 'Berry Exciting.' That looks like it will light up the shade! Z5-8.
