ceiling medallion

Hi everyone – I bought this lovely ceiling medallion from the house of antique hardware. I went to hang it today and discovered that the unpatterned portion of the medallion is 4 inches in diameter which means that a standard light canopy/fitter at 5" diameter wont work. I have not been able to find a 4 inch diameter canopy unfortunately. Will it look unsightly for the chain of my chandelier to come directly out of the 1 inch hole in my medallion without a canopy? Should I return this product? :( boo.

no unfortunately. I'm not sure why house of antique hardware doesnt make the unpatterned portion a standard five inches. seems like a design flaw. I have reached out to customer service. may have to return the product which is a bummer.

I don't know what kind of chandelier you have but you may be able to find something that will work if you look at lamp parts. Something like a vase cap might work.Here is another option https://www.antiquelampsupply.com/crystal-prisms/shopby/metal. Don't get stuck by only calling it by one name.

Diana - thanks SO much! I emailed the antique lighting supply folks and this really nice woman from tennessee called me and told me exactly what i needed to buy! I can combine these 4 things and she thinks it will look perfect. She even looked up my chandelier online - yay :) Thanks again.
