Would a subwoofer on the bottom shelf work well?

Plan on using the bottom shelf for a subwoofer. Middle for a receiver and the top for a low profile cable box. Just wondering if the sub will cause noticeable vibration to the other items on the shelf.

We contacted Salamander and were told that it would depend on the sub. A lot of subs would definitely cause vibration. There are some that have a self damping technology to limit vibrations, and those types would work well.
