Zebra Stripes

Does anyone grow this? What do you think? When does it begin to turn green in your garden? I've wanted it for a long time, and it is available, but I am not sure it fares well enough to bother acquiring.

I have been super impressed with it. I have better pics before the deer munched it but I am showing this one because it was taken on Oct 4th after several frosts.

That is 'Mystic Star' behind and a bit of 'Itsy Bitsy Spider' on the right both showing signs of going down for the season. 'Smash Hit' was looking really good until the deer feasted.

Well that's great. I love an endorsement from someone in the same climate. I had read that it fizzes out in areas with cold springs. I had also read that it turns green in summer. I guess it's on my list then,

That's great ninamarie, you will not regret it. I am rural about 45 miles SW of Ottawa.

I also live in a rural area - just west of the town of Mount Forest. It's good hosta growing country.
