Hi all,

i grow fruit trees , perennial greens, herbs, and other oddities, but... my hand at peppers is spotty at best.

I am in New Orleans, and it gets hot... mid 90s in the day is normal all summer.

I do however want something that will overwinter, since most winters are mild, dropping to 32 or 30ish a couple of times... i would say we can get 28F once every few years or so... and i want something that will last a couple of years.

So, i am looking for a flavorful sweet pepper, with a little heat... like a Jalepeno.

ANyway, that Hab, and Tabasco pepper grow well.

Tabasco grows REALLY well actually, like a weed.

is it easy to graft ? and would that help ?

These long pepper grow well also.

i really like these whatever they are.

nice flavor, not terribly hot (a little hotter than i like though)

but, they dont grow well... It looked healthier in spring, but as soon as the heat hit, it went dormant and looked really bad. ... its perked back up a little...

and this variegated pepper... its a bit "woody", dry like cardboard.

i dont remember buying variegated seed, so it must have been a mistake... i have 2 plants, so its not a variation.
