pink in bathroom

I need to incorporate pink in a bathroom for my daughter but dont what it to turn into blah. Knobs and fixtures will be champagne gold. Im considering painting a deep gray on vanity or wainscoting and the other areas pink. Questions: 1. What pinks work best? 2. Do I paint vanity pink, ceiling above shower and wainscoting or some combination of the three. 3. Oil or latex based primer? Thanks in advance
