Love the bed! How high is the base for the mattress?

We really like to Sodo King Panel Bed. We like a high mattress. Can you let me know how high the base (on which the mattress sits) is from the ground? From there, we can add on the height of the mattress and see how high the mattress will be. Thank you! Marcia:
