complete kitchen remodel help

I have attached several pictures of our kitchen, within the next year we will be doing a complete kitchen remodel....new cabinets, flooring (I would like to go hardwood all the way through since its everywhere but hallway and kitchen) sink replaced, new lighting (thinking I would like to do mason jar fixtures above the sink and something similar in place of the florescent light) , counter tops and backsplash, possibly new appliances. I would prefer a open top above top cabinets for décor. I would like to add more cabinets, move the dishwasher and fridge to more appropriate places, an over the hood range in place of cabinet microwave. Its kind small so not sure I want to leave the island. I am even up to moving the pantry area if need be.

In the second picture that door way goes into the dinning room could be shortened or even removed if need be, the door way to the hallway could be brought in a little to accommodate cabinets on that wall.

Please help with and advice you may have.. The house is farm house style.

You need to give us a 2 d version with complete measurements of the kitchen and a floor plan of how the kitchen relates to the rest of the house. We can't help you just by looking at pictures.

Okay I'm sorry, I am new to this. how would I go about doing a 2d version.

Measured diagram of the kitchen, and how it relates to the rest of the house? DIY abilities and tools owned? 40K budget? 60K budget? 80K budget? 100K budget?

Taking down walls and renovating is is not like a fake news HGTV fantasy bingewatch. Plan thrice, spend quadruple what they do on TV renotainment shows.

graph paper, draw the kitchen to scale, list all measurements, include the rooms that surround the kitchen, to scale and with simple measurements.

This looks like a tri-level floor plan. Is that correct?

benjesbride thank you I don't mean to sound like a idiot remodeling is just not my thing I do accounting lol... We are in the middle of problems since we purchased the house so we will be able to remodel with a decent budget from another's pocket. Yes it is a tri-level home. The side with Kitchen has a small hallway to the front door from kitchen a small dinning room off the kitchen and living room on front. once we get the go ahead that whole side will be gutted from the ground to the ceiling so my options are open all the way. I will get some graph paper and go the best I can to draw that out and post it for you to see. Again thank you for your help and not making me feel so stupid.

Can the short wall next to the microwave be cut back so it is 26-30 inches long and can the doorway header be removed? In other words, are the short wall and header load bearing?

Rantontoo that whole side of the house is going to be gutted from the ground to the ceiling, none of the walls are load bearing everything is in the ceiling, I have endless options this is why I’m pushing for mostly kitchen remodel, contractor told me if I want to re do that whole side this is the time to do it!

Hey, Amanda. Can we help with your kitchen? If you can post the dimensions and the location of the windows/doors we can get the ball rolling on your floorplan.
