Cute built in bench or place to sit. Don't understand why kitchen is doubled yet you need more storage? What is the plan so far in work area? Maybe leave this xtra zone for now?

Thank you everyone for your comments. Herbflavor, what I meant to say is I have all this extra room now, but they only allowed me to put the same cabinet structure back in for the rebuild. (I wanted more cabinets areas from them, but was not allowed due to insurance restraints.) The far right hand length of the wall is the only spot where cabinets, stove, sink, and refrigerator are going. All along that wall. I was thinking of adding a small island and doing something with this closet to make it appear to look like the other cabinets while giving me some more storage. Does that make sense?

Well you might have to come up with some of your own money to do whatever with that space I see the access panel on the wall outside this area so not sure how that would affect anything you want to do inside.How deep is that space , if 2 ft . Then go to wherever your cabinets come from and install some pullout pantries you will then have tons of storage.. If the space is too shallow for that the idea with the racks and a door makes perfect sense and probably a less expensive option. A coffee bar would be cool but you will need electrical in the that space then

Id make it a closet/pantry. If you add cabinets uppers and lowers it will always look off like it's suppose to be a closest because of that wall with the electric panel. Plus storage is always great half of that could be a pantry and the other half vacuum/linens.
