I like what you have. Possibly slip covers made for the parsons chairs in a print fabric that is monochromatic or contrast geometric print. Find a sideboard and bring it in and place your furniture and possibly hang a chandelier to give the room some presence....then take more pics.

I like the table but the chair color isn't working for me. A lighter color (slipcovers are fine) would make the table seem less dark and heavy. A nice rug underneath would center the room too. (And center the table)

Table and chairs are fine. Remove the mirror---reflection of kitchen isn't helping room, replace w/art. I would move the table out from the wall. You need lighting in this room/put the recessed on dimmers if not already and lamps on sideboard/buffet or chandelier (rectangular) would be great addition.

I would skip a rug--your floor looks great w/dark table and a rug will reduce the visual space.

What sideboard are your getting and where are you placing?

I like the table also, but I think you should go for different chairs. Were they a set? If not, return the chairs and go for a lighter color chair and possibly a rug. Center the table and (I know you didn't ask this), but if you could replace those vertical blinds it would make the room look nicer also.

Drape panels would be great option to add some pattern/texture/color.

Your chairs looks great as is w/your art panels that are over the sideboard arriving. I would leave them and invest in texture drape panels to replace vertical blinds and artwork to replace mirror. Slipcovers generally don't look great and tend to "slip" and slop unless made specifically for chair.

i moved the table in the middle and it does look better. i will be adding a lamp on a cabinet once it arrives for more light. also, i'll try out artwork instead of the mirror too as i wasn't sold on it anyways. thank you, i will post more pics once i get it all done.

So glad you move it to the middle, that was my first thought.

I still would rather see lighter chairs. It is too much darkness and sameness.

How about one of these tables with the cooper chair on the end and some other chairs on the sides or maybe even bench(es)?

So since it is a set, I would probably return it all vs buying slip covers. I think the chairs are needing texture. However, if that is too much of a hassle and you really really like the set, how about trying a rug underneath?

Not sure what your entertainment needs are, but long hard bench not very comfortable---more for young children. Is your current set /chairs comfortable? What do you not like?
