Growing tropical hibiscus under grow lights

I'm here in zone 6b near Boston. I have a tropical hibiscus that I love, and every fall I bring it inside where it spends the winter as a houseplant, and then in May I bring the pot outside and it becomes an outdoor plant. But I have to admit that in its winter phase by February and March the poor thing is looking terribly bedraggled and has often lost most of its leaves.

I do have grow lights but have never used them to grow tropical houseplants in the winter, and this year I'm tempted to do that with the hibiscus. Has anyone else done this and would love know what kind of success you've had?
