If you want herringbone you want an actual luxury wood floor, not a fake plastic one.

clickable has to have proper tongue and groove on all sides. otherwise it can't go in that pattern.

glue down would the only one to work for this pattern. I can't even tell you how difficult this pattern is to do w/wood, let alone a glue down vinyl. if even one plank is off by 1/8", the entire pattern is thrown off. All of your planks need to be the same size, w/width divisible by it's length. It can be done, but math is your friend here. there is a proper way to start this pattern and it's not just, "put the corner on the 45 and go!".

I would LOVE an actual wood or tile floor in my basement and to NOT have to use a vinyl product. But, given the old tile and mastic over concrete that is currently my floor AND that I've had a few water issues, those just aren't options available to me. Not even sure a glue down vinyl plank would stick to the old tile and mastic.

Try Parterre flooring systems. Those can be in a herringbone design. Its done in commercial spaces all the time:)

If it's a lock and fold, No. All planks must run in the same direction or you void warranties.

You could buy one carton and test it but as others have already pointed out, if there's a locking edge system, it probably won't work. A local supplier used to sell a vinyl called Freefit. It has no T&G and could be laid in a pattern.

We just got new LVP that can be laid in a herring bone pattern it has a different click system. Do you have a Flooring America store in your town?

It cracks me up sometimes when I look at the timing for replies on Houzz! Not sure if this is too late for the OP, but...It looks like Karndean has some. I had actually called them with this question just this morning, since I had seen that they have a herringbone in black and a woodtone ( https://www.karndean.com/en/floors/products/ap03-black-oak-parquet ) and also SO many beautiful stick-down herringbone products on their UK side (but I can't do a floor with adhesive).

otherwise, you can look for any whitewashed tile and lay in a herringbone. (length divisible by width is preferable )

LVT Flooring in Herringbone Pattern

Has anyone used or seen a herringbone LVT using smaller planks? I found a 9 inch long plank but it is glue down and I am not sure the durability or reliability of gluing in pattern. I'd prefer a click in plank.
