PERFECT BUFFET /SIDEBOARD

last modified: 8 years ago

My living and dining room flow together. My table is 52" diameter, farmhouse style in dark walnut. I'm currently shopping for a buffet / sideboard but am unsure what is the right size for my table. Don't know what is considered too big or too small. Regarding color, I was thinking about going with distressed off white or teal to brighten up the room, since table and floor are very dark. Please advise. Thanks

I would add more black into your scheme…to relate to the style of your bobbin chairs. (I had a pair and love them.)

Suggesting that you put a good size canvas over the sofa (pick up colors in your rug and black frame) and a mirror over the sideboard.

It might be helpful to show the spot where the sideboard will go and the dimensions of that spot. The sideboard needs to be sized to the table to some extent, but the bigger factor is that it be sized appropriately for the space.
