help with colours and bed combination for guest room

I need advice please. I'm not sure how to add some colour to my guest room. I just hung new curtains, they are navy and blue. The piping on the curtains are green. I'm nit sure if I should get white bed covers cause I think the existing just don't go too well. How can j bing more colour like green in the room . The red carpet will go.
I would like an opinion on the beds for a guest room. do I keep the single beds or replace them with a double bed?
any advice would help please?

You can change the blanket at the end of the bed to a green or a pattern with green and another color if you wanted to bring in more pop.

Also You can change the back pillow to a green cover instead of matching the bedspread. Artwork can add a pop of color or a mirror with a painted frame.

Get some fun tartan plaid throws for the foot of each bed. Something like this, perhaps:

But the thing that's throwing me on this room is your choice of headboards. You've got a pretty preppy/New England look going there but the headboards have an Asian feel. Would be fun to get navy upholstered headboards with some contrast trim, like this:

Will it look better if I replace the blue cupboard with something white?
The headboards also still need to be mounted on the wall and are supposed to be mich higher then on the picture..

It's the style of the headboards that's the issue, not the color of the furniture. So, no, I don't think replacing the blue dresser with a white one will solve it.

Two single beds is just fine for a guest room. I also like the placement of the headboards better than the way they are in the other posted picture.

Change the wall color to a light blue - keep your bedding. Put the navy pillow behind the lighter one and exchange the green/blue/white ones for something softer. Same applies to the trows.

Paint the dresser a lighter blue (leave the top, it marries the headboards) and switch out the hardware to oil rubbed bronze (just a little darker than the headboards and dresser top).

Bedskirts in box pleat and in off white or a blue similar to the wall color will make it look more tailored.

i will try out a few of the ideas, my budget is quite small. I will put some photos on once done. thanks to all for your advice and input.
