Hi BeckySharp, The lower the price the better, haha, but probably would like to spend under $400. The light in pic#1 is 62" from ceiling to bottom of light, but I would like the fixture I buy to come down lower so it's approx. 30"-33" above the table. I have literally looked at thousands of lights and can't seem to find everything I need in one light. But, now knowing I could just buy more chain, hopefully I can find something. Have you seen any lights like in pic #3?

Yes, as a rule you can always add more chain. Though it would help to know how high your ceilings are, and the distance from the ceiling to your magical spot of 30"-33" above the table.

The style you're looking for is also popular for kitchen island pendants, so search that as well.

You could make this ceiling pendant as long/low as you want by adding more chain,

The light fixture in pic #3 is not appropriate for that application, its made for a lower ceiling, it definitely needs to be dropped down; it has rods which in most cases is fixed. Here are some cheaper alternatives at Cost Plus that you might like that should work by adding some chain & wire.

The reason you like the fixture in the first picture is probably because it's roundish. I love those fixtures.

Congrats on the new home! This fixture is a close match. I included the verbiage as to what extra extension rods to request, depending on your ceiling height. Good luck!

Thank you Kevinchitown! I liked both lights and they are both very good prices. Here is a picture of the table I have (table is 7.5 feet long), I'm not sure they would go well with it...what do you think? Also, I so agree with you the light in pic#3 was too high!!

At first I thought I loved the lighting in this picture and searched out this light. I found it and started thinking I didn't like it as well as I thought and it was over my budget $537. Also, I was thinking it wasn't as large as I'd like it to be.

You need a fixture made for a sloped ceiling or at least one that can be adapted . For heavnes sake stay away from anything with edison bulbs . IMO without seeing the space with your furniture it is impossible to choose lighting

The top photo is the pic of my table. The bottom photo is of the space. Why stay away from Edison bulbs...truthfully I don't love them either, just curious of your reason. Thank you Patricia!

Do you think this would look ok? I think it is ok for sloped ceiling. I sent a message to Lamps Plus asking. I would need extra rods I'm guessing.

I am not at all a lighting expert but I think this light would suit your space very nicely.

Looks like you will have a nice big table so I agree you will need a larger fixture. I love many of the light fixtures at Restoration Hardware and Rejuvenation, but the prices are insane. You can sometimes find some good deals on Ebay.
