Thank you, Milly! I used an inexpensive ($4.99) mobile app to determine conceptually the best layout and design for the space. Then I outlined the design with chalk in the dirt to make sure all elements fit well and left plenty of open space. l chose all the materials myself with the help of Thousands of photos and designs from this amazing app (Houzz)! Selecting the right materials was the hard part since I don't do this for a living. We selected Quartzite counters (white Macaubas), A dark grey porcelain tile for the BBQ fascia, silver travertine ledger stone for the columns and retaining wall, silver travertine pavers and coping for the deck and pool. The pool and spa have beautiful spanish glass tile (Black Forest) and a pebble sheen finish (Ocean Blue).

I gave each contractor my vision and asked them to execute. I listened to their ideas as well and together we brought it to life! My thought was to design it carefully and thoughtfully enough to ensure it would remain functional and beautiful for many years to come! I will try to take a few more photos to add here from different vantage points. I still need to add the landscaping now!
