Keep it symmetrical. Bookshelfs on each side would be beautiful.

What a lovely room! How about a tall plant—palm,ficus or whatever appeals to you on the left side, near the window, then place a big bookshelf on the right? That should eliminate the off-centered look.

Thank you for the suggestions! I had an idea of trying to “upcycle” some ikea bookshelves, add doors and paint them the same color as the back wall to look like built-ins. But, that didn’t really work out and has turned into a hot mess, haha.

Still on the lookout for the right furniture ...

Is TV going above the mantel? You could wall mount one on the right with a credenza under it, a plant on the window side.
