also I meant to ask, does anyone know if I get some sort of built in bench in front of this window; there is already a small shelf there so I'm curious to know if I could extend that??? that us the front room , loving room , not very big and we can use all the seating we can get. that couch was shoved up there to put it somewhere we could use it until we figure out how to layout this room. (that will likely be another post.:).

Hi. I think a cheerful, custom roman shade on those windows would collect less dust than the shutter. You could dress up a cozy sitting area with coordinating cushions and fabrics.
