While excellent appliances, don't expect to find a service tech easily if you have a problem. Thermador-approved repairers are hard to come by, expensive to walk in the door, and parts are not cheap.

Thermador is one of the most reliable brands in the industry. Of the 25,000 service calls, they were one of the best. That being said, you want to buy any niche appliance from a dealer with a service network....Attached is an article with relevant service information

Thermador is a high quality designer appliance. They are currently running a promotion. If you purchase a cooktop and oven or a range you will receive a free matching dishwasher. If you add in a built in fridge they will also throw in a hood. Pretty good deal. This will bring the pricing much lower than you would normally pay for them. The truth is service isnt great for any brand today so I suggest taking some kind of service contract to protect your investment. I have Thermador double ovens. I do not recommend them. Problems problems and Thermador customer service is not going to wow you.

I have had my dual fuel Thermador range/oven for over 10 years now. Never have I needed service and I absolutely love it! If you do need service for some reason, I'm sure the retailer that sells these appliances has certified repair companies they recommend. I wouldn't get anything else!
