IKEA comes with a 25 year warrantee. Their drawers are made by Blum, which is a solid company. Their boxes are also solid. If I was doing IKEA in my apartment, I'd upgrade the doors to something more durable, and attractive, than theirs. But many designers use standard IKEA ins quite high end renovations, so you can go with it if you like it.

The only thing to note is that some contractors don't like installing them and there is often a need for return trips to the store for missing pieces.

I second A....tough to compete with IKEA when you're looking for budget cabinets with decent quality. An added benefit of IKEA is they usually don't change the core of their cabinet line for over a decade, so if you decide you need a refresh, pick a new set of doors and swap them out. I also think the variety of their drawer organization options is fantastic.
