Nesting tables?

I am looking for two tables - a coffee table and an end table - for a room that has limited space (the end table needs to be less than 20" wide). The couch folds out to a twin bed (the couch itself is only about 50" wide...tiny!!), and, due to the limited space, we would have literally nowhere to move the coffee table to when it is a bed. I was thinking of using nesting tables, but would hate to have the piece that we move be the bigger one (would displace lamps etc on the end table every time we moved it). I found this and love the concept (that the inside piece could be a coffee table) but hate the style and wood color...we tend to go a bit more mid century, and less modern. Any suggestions? Or do you know of something similar? I can't find anything like it, but maybe I am using wrong search terms? Thanks!

There are floor lamps with tables attached to the column. They come in all sorts of styles and sizes. For a coffee table, you could use a small ottoman with a tray on top and then push it by the floor lamp next to the sofa when the bed is open. With the tray off, the ottoman would be a foot prop when someone is sitting on the sofa.

Get glass, adjust at will . Use the two small in front of sofa. Tuck under as needed. They go with EVERYTHING. Set of three , link to Amazon , bottom 252.00 on Prime. The two small will act as a nice two level "cocktail", 15 x 30 inches.....done and TADA. Use a standing lamp? and they are a three piece cocktail table until it needs to go away at the side

Table 1: 16'" x 16"
Table 2: 15" x 15"
Table 3: 14" x 14"
