Thanks Karin! End-of-season pics kinda make me sad, as does the empty-looking garden every time I peek out the window and see all the plants cut to ground. Needless to day, your cheerful pics were very much welcome today!

Not sure if it's just because I've been checking too often, but this year I've been wondering why there aren't more in-season pics being posted. Although this forum generally shares more pics than some other plant ones. Hope everyone's doing well and keeps warm this winter.

I enjoyed the hosta show Karin..I've been raking for days and keep finding mushy and translucent, or dried up and almost white, or just yellow hosta leaves mixed in with the fallen leaves from my trees..these pics were a nice break..

I surely hope we're doing the alphabet again this winter! I've never had much to post in the alphabet because I've been in "the building years" with my garden. But I tried to take more photos to share... even though most of mine are first- or second-year plants.

Dave - it looks like you had a good hosta year!

I agree, Pampered Peeps, it seemed there were fewer photos, and generally fewer threads/participants this past summer. In my case, I have had an incredibly busy year - with lots of garden work, but also lots of time traveling here-and-there, and lots of family stuff going on. So, I've been reading and checking in with the forum, but not with much substance on my part.

And, I think perhaps a lot of people were discouraged by the fact that Photobucket cut them off. I know that's really disappointing to me... I'll try to do a little research on a plant or issue, hoping to see photos as well as gather info, and those photos are gone from the people who had them saved to PB. Unless they take the time to go in and re-post from another source (which would be a pain), there are just no photos there - it's a bummer!

But we'll at least look forward to the alphabet to help us get through these next months. And it will provide us with a new crop of photos, right?

Yes, I too look forward to the alphabet! Although I'm not ready to participate yet either... Stuffed the yard full of plants (mainly hostas) this year, but they're baby TCs that'll take a while to look like anything, and then I'll probably have to remove some to give the rest room to grow. Anyway, didn't take any pics this year that are really worth sharing, but definitely look forward to seeing everyone else's.

The Photobucket thing definitely has been frustrating...I too do a lot of searches for old posts (mainly by hosta name), but so many times can't see the image(s) anymore.

I do not know if Photobucket did the right thing with not showing the old pictures anymore. If they would have done this with me I hadn't paid a cent because I do not like to be played this way. To cut of a worldwide supply of old photos and empty threads everywhere might not be the best management strategy....

I also hope that Paula is ok and will start the alphabet soon. It is such a nice way to look at the achievements other gardeners made through the year and helps through the winter :-)
