I would be hesitant to place too much faith in the name of that apple. Much like seedless Thompson grape, I expect the early pink lady to be little akin to the real thing. Just marketing mumbo jumbo. There is always a chance that I am wrong.

I have a small pink lady that is just 10 months in the ground and already produced apples. I thinned all but 1 off and it was very good but I think I should have left it on the tree even longer.

Another point of hesitation is that this Early Pink Lady is on M26 rootstock which is supposedly very susceptible to fireblight as are Pink Ladies in general. I live in the rainy Northeast so I'm concerned about this. Decisions, decisions...

This is a Dave Wilson nursery tree, a Central California wholesale nursery. I'm in zone 9B, inland Southern California. A far cry from New Jersey for sure. We have fireblight here but it is rarely a big concern. Usually only during exceedingly wet years of which we don't have often. I'm not familiar with M27 either. M111 is what does really well out here.
