I often like a gray backsplash in situations like this, both to highlight the counter veining and to give a bit of contrast to all the white finishes when viewed from a bit farther away. That would be my first choice here too. I think your backsplash sample looks quite nice in the more distant photos, but a bit busy up close, and that will be how you will see the combination of the two materials when working in the space.

Why does the counter to the right of stove have the 4 inch quartz backsplash, but left counter doesn’t? Will you be removing the 4 inch piece for the new backsplash?

It's not a bad choice, but I think there is better. you don't have to do a simple 3x6 white subway. your counter isn't that busy or that showy.

Thank you all. Yes, the 4 inch quartz backsplash is just sitting there as I was unsure if I was even going to put in a backsplash originally. It will be gone.

I also like the idea of a gray backsplash and that Smoke and Ice White is pretty too. I think I'll pick up some samples and play with them.

Yes, don't worry, that 4" backsplash shouldn't have been in the picture (not glued in). :-) Thanks, maybe I will stick with this pattern. I think I'll go and buy a bunch of them and place them all around so I can see if it becomes to much for me.
