Nobody answered my question so after searching online, because the of the long pseudobulb I'm thinking it may be an Oncidium. If anyone can share any different info, I would be happy to know.

Nobody answered your question because the numbers just about make it impossible. It is a Hybrid in the Oncidiinae Sub tribe and unless it is a widely copied orchid (mericlone) that is as close as you will get.

Just say it is an Oncidium Hybrid...if you go to Hybrid register and look up Oncidiums you will get more than 5000 registered names. Then there is the variation within each crossing (Grex) If you have an orchid seed pod and raise all the babies to bloom there will be variations between each one. Just like children.

Maybe it is not a straight Oncidium. i.e. an Oncidium crossed with an Orchid in the Oncidiinae Sub Tribe but not an Oncidium. More possibilities.

With its purple frilly lip and spotted pointy petals and sepals, I'm way more inclined to think it's some kind of Zygopetalum cross, but I don't have one or know much about them, so I couldn't offer any further guesses at its parentage.

I love the color of your orchid. Rusty orange paired with a soft pink, gorgeous! But what arthurm says is right, the orchids in that alliance can all mix with each other so it's not really possible to identify a name since there's so many hybrids at this point. If it came with a tag that tells you what nursery it came from, you could try contacting and asking them. I just assume once a year for most orchids but seeing you live in Florida maybe twice a year is possible?

Well...thanks for all the info..I don't know too much about orchids, I have mostly Dens, Phals & Catts. I just wanted an idea of what it was. The reason I was unsure was because the flower looked different than what I'm used to seeing. Thanks.

My only guess would be that it has some Brassia in it because of that reaching/spreading look of the petals and sepals. Maybe a Brassidium from the looks of it. Don't take my word for it though! I'm still very much a newb
