Extremely noisy. More than noisy.

We looked at one, and I'm sorry I don't remember the brand. It was incredibly loud, and it used far more electricity, according to our source. We were strongly advised against going that route for residential use. Personally, I though it unattractive as well, but that's personal style.

Horrible idea. Loud huge energy hogs with zero storage compartments or conveniences.

We had a Hobart refrigerator when growing up. It was LOUD. And, it had a loud alarm that sounded if the door was open too long. Sometimes it would sound in the middle of the night when we were asleep. My bedroom was directly above it. There were many times it bounced me out of bed in the middle of the night.

I wouldn't recommend it.

Loud and impractical. We have one in our garage where it works well for bulk storage, drinks and milk. But I wouldn't want one in my house.
