My guess on the sticks is to control the spacing between the roots and to maintain an attractive appearance. The roots on mine just go where they want.

And think of bringing those in for the winter.

Yes, I guess so. The video named like this. Somebody bought it. That's why they pooled the plant out of its pot. I am just thinking how many years it took to grow this plant? And yes, it's very cheap for this plant. Should be much much more. Agreed?
