Here's a few paint ideas I've saved to get you started on visuals. I would get some samples and paint on posterboard and take around the house to get some ideas how they look in your home.

Since you probably need to prime over the gray, go ahead and use white primer. Then it will be easier making a decision without the Agreeable Gray casting colored reflections on your samples.

I love BM Cotton Balls...a clean bright white but the best thing to do is to bring home samples of whites which look good to you and look at them in daylight and night time, narrow down your choices and buy larger sample boards or sample size cans and try them out.

Behr Ballet White looks awesome in any lighting in my home. I ended up putting it in most rooms because we were ready to go back to a cleaner look.
