Christmas string lights-some help please

2 sets of string lights. Note the distance between the last light and the plug. The strand on the left has a 2 inch wire while the strand on the right has a 10 inch wire. Do these different variety of light strands have a name? I am looking for the LONGER wire (need to bring it in thru a window) and am not having much luck. Any advice?
