master bathroom

I am looking for a clean, sort-of traditional but with a more modern touch, bathroom with a free standing tub, wood-like floors, white or light gray cabinetry and gray walls.

Have you looked at photos on houzz for ideas? Start saving images so you have some ideas of what type tile, vanities, etc you love. Then you can start looking for all of you materials.

There must be..................seventy billion images online just like that, or some version. Please spare us the wood look tile if you can. Might as well paint the time and install date on it and it's becoming a total yawn. PS These are HELP pages, not the do it FOR you pages: ) The less you put in, the less you shall receive. If you want wood, do the real deal/engineered

Sorry ... thanks for the comments, but ignore my post. I have never done this before and was testing it out to see what posted. I can't figure out how to delete this post. Clearly, I bothered you, Jan, but thanks for taking the time anyway!

Ugh. I was thinking of it more like a search engine. Any clue how to delete my post so I can start over with a more embellished post? I am so embarrassed.

My house was burned in one of the wildfires and so I am being thrown into a redecorating job I didn't really want at the moment. There are so many decisions to make and not a lot of time. Jan, I did have a question about wood floors in the bathroom, though. I would like to do wood in my master bedroom, but I did have concerns there would be warping/it would be subject to water damage if I continued it into my bathroom. Is there any kind of wood that is better than another for use in a bathroom?

Don't be embarrassed. I wouldn't put wood in a bathroom, but it can be done.

Kristen, I’m so sorry about the loss of your house to the wildfires. My only suggestion, like the others, is to not do the woodlook tiles if you’re doing hardwood in your bedroom. I have large format porcelain tiles that I love. Easy to keep clean as there are less grout lines and no lippage that the porcelain “planks” might have. I wish you luck as you rebuild from your loss.

    Kristen

I've done both. With a good fan, even sand on site, and putting in an engineered version this week!

I will add, all I have done are large baths, and the house............empty nest! No teen showers with floods and steam : ) in mums bath lol

We are still in the dark as to size of the space. That will be the deciding factor in whether what you want and what you can have are the same thing. So please post a floor plan with as much detail as possible and we will try to help. Thats what we do.You can just add that to a comment just like you have been doing .
