Are you OK with it occasionally not blooming or winter protecting? Here the one I tried didn't survive, let alone bloom, but most places there will be some winters when the buds get zapped by warm weather followed by frigid weather. If you are OK with a lacecap rather than a mophead, check out H. serrata Tuff Stuff or Tiny Tuff Stuff. TS has bloomed in my garden every year since planting, something no macrophylla has done.

NH. Went 90 degrees on this, and decided on a rebloomer/same/similar compact series. Some of the blooms on the Cityline seemed more interesting than the rebloomers though. Living above the sun belt, why fight mother nature . Rebloomers all the way

I would take a look at the Let's Dance Series from Proven Winners (rebloomers about 3' tall).
