Does anyone know about Wedgewood?

Wedgewood blue Jasper? Have 31 pieces. Does anyone know more about them (year or anything?)

r where/how to sell them? Possibly any other forums or Facebook groups? My aunt passed and I am left with consolidating and emptying her condo. I am keeping many sentimental items, but the place is full of China and collectibles. I don’t know much of anything about antiques or about these kinds of collectibles. I would like to do my research and try selling them as opposed to hiring an appraiser. Any help or leads in the right direction are greatly appreciated!

Wedgwood! No “e” in the middle of the word.

What's the backstamp on the blue? Where do you live...or rather where will you be selling this stuff...maybe someone can recommend a place.
And keep posting pictures....we will help when we can!

When my mother was a girl about 1910, her father, a poor minister, brought back to her a little Wedgewood pitcher (creamer?) and sugar basin in a deeper blue with white figures on it. In pencil on the bottom was the cost--25 cents.

It depends on the age of the piece and who made it. Some Jasperware pieces are displayed in museums while most are not. I am not expert on it, but your homeowner’s insurance may know of an appraiser locally.

She said Wedgewood, so I would assume it is....but the back stamp would give some clue as to age.
I would not pay an appraiser unless I had some indication that they were of great value. A wedgewood tea set is very unlikely to be "museum quality".

Yeah....I know better....but I got drawn in by the original poster....and I have seen cheap stuff marked wedgEwood...it was obviously not the real stuff, but someone was trying to sell it as such.

I have a few pieces. Unfortunately, I think Wedgwood is part of the "stuff" that the younger generation has no interest in.

Oh, all those scenes from the Classics! I have a little Wedgwood plate with a relief of Dwight D. Eisenhower on it. A REAL Classic! It makes me smile.

Hi! I collect Wedgwood blue and white jasper ware. You can date the pieces by checking the bottom marks against a guidebook. Your pieces, however, seem to mainly be 20th century, probably middle century, 1940 to 1960. A quick glance will probably show you the "Made in England" mark under Wedgwood's name. This mark was added after the Tariff Law was enacted in 1891 that stated that all imported goods must be marked with country of origin. If you have any pieces not marked with "Made in England" they could have value as antiques and you should check. There are many, many books out there that will guide you on the marks! Hope this helps!

Or they could have been made for sale locally, not for export. That doesn't allpy to Wedgwood, but to other items.
