I like #1, without the placement of the chair. The room is set up for conversation, but you have a focal wall, with a television that no furniture is facing. I would imagine that there would be more television viewing than conversing, so in light of that, #2 is the best furniture arrangement.

The room flows better in the second photo. Definitely #2!

I chose the first option, because I think the big window behind the TV (like in the second option) when the sun is up is a bad idea for your eyes.
