agree with Jason.. there are much better forums out there.

Aquascape requirements are largely dependent on the size of your tank, freshwater vs salt, fish or corals you might want to keep, etc. Assuming you're into freshwater, i would check out the Takashi Amano stuff on youtube for inspiration..

start here Aquatic Gardeners Association and then view the contest entries by year and aquarium size. the members will usually give the plant names, substrate, lighting and fertilizers used in their creations. I sense that Amano's style has become so dominant that the entries are becoming cliche's and tend to all resemble. my favorite style is the leiden style of dutch aquariums. this group is beginning to receive entries for this style of aquascaping, making a comeback.
