what kind of tile used for this fireplace?

The black accent tile is mustang slate mosaic 3/4" x 4" laid vertically. The lighter gray field tile is an inexpensive ceramic floor tile 12" x 24" format.

Love your deign! I'm having a hard time finding the black mustang slate. Would you be willing to share your thoughts about using these as substitute materials:

Try Porcolanosa - they have quite a few tiles that have a similar look.
