    I've got Gs!

General Schablikine - pardon the blurs, but this photo really shows the quilled petals.

    Georgetown Tea
    Gold Medal
Granada in June - yes, that's all the same plant.
George Burns - not as yellow as Beth's, but still lots of variety.

    Thanks for looking.

I got a little behind on our rose alphabet, so here is my catch-up: G

Ghislaine de Feligonda--profuse bloomer in the spring

Gormet Popcorn--I need to get some new, up-to-date pics of some of these.

My Gentle Hermione is still a baby but produced some lovely blooms in her first year.

Gertrude Jekyll is one of my most fragrant roses. It doesn't bloom quite as much as I'd like but it produces three to four good flushes during the season.

Glamis Castle is another lovely DA rose that I recently planted in my front yard where it gets mostly morning sun. It blooms frequently and has a sweet myrrh fragrance.

I got Golden Celebration last year and had to keep him in a pot for awhile. I'll be putting him in the ground shortly. I received just few blooms but they were quite pretty and fragrant!

I've got six "Gs" but apparently I didn't take photos of them all. All I have is:

    Hi Beth,

Could you tell me a little bit about Gemma? Not much on helpmefind about it. Also, where did you purchase it?

Erin, I got GEMMA many yrs ago from Pickering Nurseries in Canada. They're no longer in business, unfortunately. We used to get some really unusual roses imported from Europe from them. I miss them!! Anyway, she's a pretty good rose. For several yrs I had her in a really bad spot, with little sun and lots of neglect. She rarely bloomed. But about 3yrs ago we had to redo our septic system, and had 4 trees cut down. Opened up a nice big area in the backyard. I made several new beds (still working on some of them) and I put her in one of the DA-type-roses bed. She went nuts being out of that bad spot! She was always kind of tall, but she filled in a lot! The plant is about 4.5ft high and 2.5ft wide. She blooms quite a lot. I don't remember if she has any scent tho.

    Here's a couple more pics...
